What is a QR business card?
A QR business card is a QR code that links to your digital profile. Anyone points their phone camera at it and the profile opens in the browser — no app and no NFC hardware needed. It works on screens, badges, stickers, and printed materials, making it the most universal way to share a digital card.
A QR code is just an image encoding a URL, so it needs no chip and costs nothing to reproduce. That makes it the most flexible way to share a digital business card: put it on a phone screen, a conference badge, an email signature, a shop window, a slide, or the back of a printed card. Every modern phone camera scans QR codes natively.
QR and NFC solve the same problem from two directions and work best together. NFC is faster and feels premium — a single tap — but requires the card hardware and a phone that supports it. QR works on any camera and at a distance or on a shared screen, but requires the person to open the camera and aim. Offering both means you can always share, whatever the situation.
Like NFC, a QR business card points to a profile you control, so the destination can be updated any time and can capture engagement or route a lead — the code itself never has to change.
